Updated! Matt's averaging 13.4 miles a day, which puts him finishing around 5 1/2 months if he doesn't take a zero day. Of course he must take one, so right now he's on track to finish in 6 months. The math of it all sounds daunting to me... all that effort! I'm really proud of him.
Are y'all ready to start betting on his finish date?
Keep goin' love!

I'm betting that he increases that average big-time once he settles in a bit more (and starts seriously missing friends and family and the comforts of a home!). I'd say 4.5 months including rest days. He left April 2nd so I'd call it somewhere around August 15th. Are we doing it "price is right" style (closest without going over) or just the closest absolute time?
ReplyDeletegood question! I haven't even figured out if we're going to do money or if whomever wins gets a present LOL. I'll have to discuss that with Matt. Though I'm thinking closest absolute time. As in if you get it within a week, or if you are the closest overall you win.
ReplyDeleteI said $1.00 buy-in at first, but haven't figured out how to set that up? If you have ideas let me know.
(Also...and I'm sorry, who are you again? haha I think I know, but it be best to say hey i know who won if you were the lucky guesser)

Haha it's Matt's friend Mike from UMBC! We had a long-standing inside joke involving fugacity and thermodynamics.
ReplyDeleteMan I'm glad I was right! Hi Mike :)
